You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to delete your account entirely. We offer these rights to every customer, wherever you live — not only where a state privacy law requires it.
How to make a request
Email service@threatvector.network with the subject line Data request, and tell us which of the following you want:
- Access — a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — fix something that is wrong.
- Deletion — delete your personal information.
- Account deletion — close your account and delete your personal information (see below).
- Opt out — stop marketing email, or stop data sharing for targeted advertising.
Send it from the email address on your account if you can. If you cannot, tell us the address the account uses and we will verify another way before we act — we will not delete an account on an unverified request, because that would be its own security problem.
We aim to respond within 30 days. If a request is complex and we need longer, we will tell you before that deadline.
Deleting your account
Your store account is hosted by Shopify and does not currently have a self-service delete button. Email us using the instructions above and we will do it for you.
When we delete your account we:
- close the customer record and remove your name and contact details from it;
- delete the device credentials that paired TommyGun to your computers, so no device can authenticate as you again;
- remove the stored identifier used to route your reports;
- remove device names and keys associated with your account.
Be aware of two things before you ask.
- Unused scan credits are forfeited. Deleting your account ends your entitlements. If you have paid for scans you have not run, run them first or ask us about a refund before requesting deletion.
- Reports already emailed to you are yours and stay yours. We do not reach into your inbox. If you want your copies gone, delete them from your own email.
What we keep, and why
We do not delete everything, and we would rather say so plainly than surprise you.
- Order and payment records are retained. We are required to keep records of what was sold, to whom and for how much, for tax and accounting purposes. These are kept in a form tied to the transaction rather than to a live customer profile.
- Entitlement and credit history is retained in the same way, so the financial ledger stays complete and auditable.
- Copies in our system backups are deleted on a rolling 90-day cycle, in every location where we store backups.
Shopify also processes your information as our platform provider and retains its own records. See Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and its privacy portal.
Marketing email
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click, no account needed. You can also turn off the Email toggle under Marketing preferences in your account, or ask us.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages such as order confirmations or the delivery of a report you paid for.
Targeted advertising and data sharing
To opt out of the sharing of personal information for targeted advertising — which some US state laws treat as a "sale" or "share" — use Your Privacy Choices. If you browse with Global Privacy Control enabled, we treat that as an opt-out signal for that browser automatically.
Related policies
- Privacy Policy — what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with.
- Terms of Service — the agreement governing the store, the TommyGun software and the scan products.
- Refund Policy — physical merchandise.
Who handles your request
This store is operated by ThreatVector LLC, which also processes scan data and reports. A request sent to the address above reaches us.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
